Just wanted to recommend a book called the Joy of Living Dangerously by Osho.It focuses on the joys contained in the exploring the unknown and how the majority of fears are illogical and do not need to be bound by or dictated to by them.It covers other and I have found it to be quite profound though he is a controversial figure.

Just finishing the Osho post. That was the breifest possible synopsis. It covers lots of other territory and draws from many traditions and speaks of the concept of "Zorba the Buddha".Anyway, works for me.
